They have signed an agreement to establish partnerships between university education and professional studies in this field.
The Universitat Rovira i Virgili, the Pere Martell Institute and Agbar have signed an agreement to establish alliances between university training and professional education and thus contribute to the creation of an environment of professional excellence in the field of water. This agreement is part of the European project Three-level centres of professional excellence: qualification, enterpreneurship and innovation in the Green Economy (3LoE), of which both the Pere Martell Institute and Agbar are part, together with the Department of Education of the Generalitat de Catalunya, and 57 other European entities, including 19 vocational training centers, 34 companies, industries and sector representatives, 5 public authorities, 14 higher education institutions, 6 research centers and 3 non-governmental organizations from Germany, Austria, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Spain.
The European 3LoE projectThe main objectives of the Erasmus+ program, co-financed by the Erasmus+ program, are to sustainably improve transversal skills, meet the needs of young professionals, managers and entrepreneurs, and strengthen the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the green economy environment, as well as achieve energy savings, using renewable energies and protecting the environment and climate through qualified and innovative SMEs.
The agreement was signed by the director of the Pere Martell Institute of Tarragona, Josep Maria Pallarés Serres, the director of People and Organization of Agbar Catalunya, Juan Manuel López Cuevas and the rector of the URV, Josep Pallarès. The purpose of the agreement is to offer and teach the contents of the Degree in Chemistry and other degrees corresponding to the areas of science and engineering in alternating and dual training, as well as the transfer of knowledge and the exchange of information and good practices.
The Faculty of Chemistry of the URV has been a pioneer, and at the moment the only one in this teaching, at the level of Spain to implement dual training for the degree of Chemistry, the course 2021-2022, with the aim of providing students of this degree paid training stays in companies that allow them to apply their knowledge acquired during their academic training, while favoring the acquisition of skills that enable them to exercise professional activities, facilitate their employability and encourage entrepreneurship.
The agreement also promotes support for continuing education, academic and business innovation, the promotion of entrepreneurship, the implementation of research and development tasks, as well as environmental protection and waste management in the environment of this green economy applied to the field of water.
