Last Monday, April 8, led by Monica Pérez Clausen, academic director of the Agbar Water School, we participated in the Conference on the accreditation of competencies and microcredentials.
The event was part of the European Year of Skills, with a speech by Ana Carrero, deputy head of the training and education unit of the general directorate of employment.
Next, Laia Arnal, General Director of Transfer and Societat del Coneixament of the Generalitat of Catalonia, presented microcredentials as a driving work tool for a continuous training system with an impact on innovation, small format, specialized and focused to respond to the current and future social and labor market needs and challenges.
It is estimated that in Catalonia only 43% of the active population does not have formal recognition or official certification of their professional qualification.
For this reason, the FPCAT Agency of the Generalitat of Catalonia exposed the competency accreditation procedure with the possibility of it being massive. It signs collaboration agreements with companies to promote processes for its staff, as is the case of Agbar in Catalonia.
In this sense, in a round table format, led by Manuel Rosillo, President of the Training Commission of Foment del Treball, the AMITS association and Grupo Agbar explained their experiences in previous editions in mass accreditations, seeing the main differences of the current call and analyzing possible process improvements.
The event was closed by Fabián Mohedano, president of the FPCAT Agency, giving a vision over time of the main advances in accreditations and professional training in Catalonia.
