Within the framework of the European Year of Skills we have held the Seminar on Agbar professional qualifications. In the session on continuous learning we had a guest speaker, César Herrero. He is a research scientist at the Digital Economy Unit of the Joint Research Center of the European Commission. His work contributes to the field of digital education and digital skills, with a clear focus on the digital transformation of the vocational education and training sector. It carries out and coordinates socio-economic analyzes of Education and Training tests for policy development in Europe, the digital transformation of learning and teaching and 21st century skills frameworks.
It has given us the opportunity to learn about the transformation of the nature of work, jobs vulnerable to automation and what specific human work needs define the limit of automation.
Fundamental transversal skills and lifelong learning (upskilling, reskilling, formal, non-formal...) are key to citizenship.
In this sense, he has described the eight frameworks on key competencies for everyone: personal development, healthy living, employability, active citizenship and social inclusion. Knowledge, skill and attitude.
European frameworks in digital competences for citizenship, the European framework for digital educational organizations, for competences in entrepreneurship, competences on sustainability and finally in the key personal, social competence and learning to learn. This is the ability to reflect on oneself, effectively manage time and information, work with others constructively, maintain resilience and manage one's own learning and career.
Without a doubt, a framework for reflection and conviction about our work of sharing knowledge and training.
The Water School thus closes its contribution to the European year of competitions. Closing the seminar on Professional qualification focused on three axes: the accreditation of skills, professional training and continuous training.
