The conference "Experiences and educational resources in the era of global change" brought together experts in education to discuss the challenges and success stories in this area.
Lluc Pejó, Director of Talent at Agbar and of the Water School, explained the didactic model of environmental education of the Water School which allows the design of impactful, meaningful and transforming activities by focusing on 5 aspects: the audience, the context, the objective, the substrate and the action.
Eire Ruiz, coordinator of environmental activities at the School, presented three examples of activities that are compatible in both face-to-face and virtual environments: the school program AqualogyThe gamified FRESCO workshop on the cause-effect links of climate change, and visits to wastewater treatment plants (WWTP) using augmented reality as a resource to show the operation of the plant.
Amelia Navarro, director of Sustainable Development in Hidraqua and Aguas de Alicante, has presented the environmental education activities carried out in the Valencian Community through Aguas de Alicante, Hidraqua and various joint ventures. He has exposed data implementation of Aqualogía in the community, the AQUASTEM program to promote techno-scientific skills among girls currently in 9 schools in the community. He also highlighted the awareness activities carried out with visits to the Museum of Aguas de Alicante and the cultural agenda offered by the same.
Ana Pons, from the Environmental Education Center of the Generalitat Valenciana and Reyes Gomis Barberá, director of CEIP Bec de l'Àguila, in Sant Vicent del Raspeig, also participated in the conference.
