The Water School launches a NEW training course on the main concepts related to the treatment of industrial wastewater, in order to understand both the processes carried out in these facilities, and to know the main parameters to take into account in the control, operation and maintenance of an Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTPi).
It is a 6-week blended program (30 hours) with periods of remote intensification (live sessions) and hours of asynchronous online training through the Virtual Campus of the Water School.
Although the working conditions in an industrial installation resemble, in part, those of urban plants, there are important variations in terms of the nature of the water to be treated, working regimes or types of treatment used for this purpose. This program allows to know the most important points to take into account in the operation of the plant, to assimilate the main aspects related to the working environment of the stations, to know the most frequent treatments and the main parameters related to control, operation and maintenance and to recognize some of the possible problems that can arise during the operation of a plant. Practical cases of wastewater generating industries with mainly organic pollution (soft drinks and other beverages, slaughterhouses, tanneries, canneries...) and wastewater generating industries with mainly inorganic pollution (metal cleaning and coating, mining operations...) will be worked on.
