Visits to the various planned facilities (DWTP, WWTP, IDAM, operational control center, laboratory, etc.) will highlight the technical features that make them attractive in the eyes of professionals for their modern, efficient and environmentally friendly designs and operating models.
The program also represents a meeting point for industry professionals interested in sharing best practices based on professional experience.
*The dates of the visits are provisional since with the state of emergency due to drought, visits are not made to certain facilities.

DINAPSIS BARCELONA RESILIENT WATER AND IOT 4 CLIMATE CHANGE
Digital operation center for the water and environmental health sector in Barcelona, from which data from the IoT sensor network is analyzed, the necessary maintenance work is managed and intelligence on municipal assets is provided remotely and efficiently. In addition, this center offers advanced technological solutions and specialized knowledge applied to the management of air quality and sustainable mobility, with the aim of improving the habitability and environmental health of cities.
ETAP SANT JOAN DESPÍ
From its creation in 1955 to the present day, the Sant Joan Despí DWTP has become one of the most technologically advanced water treatment plants in Europe. In it, traditional processes such as pretreatment, clarification and final disinfection of water coexist with other Cutting edge processes, such as water treatment with ozone and activated carbon, reverse osmosis and waste reuse.
AIGÜES DE BARCELONA OPERATIONAL CONTROL CENTER
The Operational Control Center of Aigües de Barcelona permanently and uninterruptedly supervises the key parameters of the water supply service in Barcelona and its metropolitan area in order to offer a continuous service with the necessary pressure. The Operational Control Center manages the distribution of drinking water in the metropolitan area and also ensures that the supply facilities operate with criteria of maximum technical and economic efficiency, maintaining stable levels of service quality at all times. The operation of the control center integrates the supervision of the adequate volume of water resources, the stabilization of the supply service pressures and the control of the sanitary guarantee of the supplied flows, which makes it the nerve center for the supply of drinking water to 3 million people.
AIGÜES DE BARCELONA LABORATORY
The Aigües de Barcelona laboratory is an international benchmark in the analysis of water for human consumption, reaching almost 500,000 exhaustive quality controls per year. In addition to ensuring the best sanitary qualities, it also seeks to ensure that the water you drink tastes and smells good. This is the responsibility of the water tasting team, unique in Spain and one of the few in the world, which carries out specific studies on organoleptic qualities of water in order to improve them.
IDAM BARCELONA (ATLL)
The Llobregat desalination plant became operational in the summer of 2009 and is one of the largest facilities in Europe for the production of drinking water for human consumption (annual production of 60 hm3/year). The plant was built to increase the amount of water available to reduce more than 120 municipalities in the ATLL regional network, representing more than 4.5 million inhabitants. It is a modular desalination plant that can produce up to 2,300 liters per second of high quality water.
BAIX LLOBREGAT WWTP
Located in the municipality of El Prat de Llobregat, in the Llobregat River delta, it treats water from the Baix Llobregat sewage system, an area with a high level of industrial activity, accounting for 36 % of the total water treated in the AMB. In addition, this treatment plant includes one of the most important water reclamation stations in the world: the reclaimed water from this plant increases the region's water resources by 50 million liters per year.
LA ESTRELLA RAINWATER RETENTION TANK
Anti-DSU sewerage control system with a capacity of 30 million liters of water. The functions of the La Estrella reservoir are, on the one hand, to retain wastewater and rainwater on days of heavy rain and, therefore, to prevent flooding in a considerable part of the city, and, on the other hand, to improve the quality of the sea water of our coastline thanks to the control over rainwater discharges.
